would two seio820s be too much flow for a 50(30X18X21)? Mixed reef (soft & LPS). Aragonite sand bed.

No. Its probably a good amount as long as they're not super delicate softies. And the Seios are pretty adjustable.

shouldnt' be a prob. i got 2 seio 1500's with a mag 9.5 as return in a 55. just make sure to get a good distribution and randomness of flow and you should be good.

yeah, i have multiple zoo colonies, shrooms, rics, xenia, gsp's, hammer and tourch. I also plan to use them in an upgrade to a 90 or possibly even a 120. I have no plans on ever doing SPS, so i think 2 820's along with a 620 and a eheim 1260 return should be enough for the upgrade, would you agree?
