if you go to a thread that you have posted in and go to your post you will see a button that says 'search' located above your post. if you click there you will see every post you have made and you can continue your old thread rather than starting new ones all the time. :spin2:

it also makes it easier for you and everyone else to follow. i think
this (http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=972312) is the one your looking for?

So I had got a solid oak dresser form a thrift store and decided I would use that as a stand

I got this 70 gal acrylic tank and used it as a sump refuge. I used weld on # 3 for the baffles

Probably cause it looks funny. ;) Your sand bed can be an important part of your natural filtration. Most use very fine argonite sand. I use crushed coral in my setup.

It is hard to tell from the picture but your sand doesn't look normal. Most reef sand is consistent in color until the algae start growing on it...

Awesome job! It looks like your system is definitely on it's way!

Looks like a fine gravel for a Freshwater tank.

You know, home depot sells 50lb of natural sand for around 5 LB.

Yeah its not gravel its got shells and suff in it. Geez now I am gonna have to change it out I guess. I got the tank from a guy who had it set up as a fowlr tank. I will post some more pics upclose of the sand and maybe you guys can tell me what it is since your all such experts.

That sand looks great. A closeup really helped. I people ask because the sand isn't new sand, so it looks odd for a new tank. It is great you were able to get live sand though, it will shorten your cycle if it has some good bacteria living in it!
