Reusing aragonite?

I have about 30 lbs of aragonite in my african cichlid tank. How would i go about cleaning the aragonite to put it in a marine tank? Would rinsing it with hot water work fine? Untill it runs clear?

That is what I would do. Just rinse it well and it should be OK.

I will be doing the same in my 100 gal african tank, just rinse well and reuse the substrate.
