siphon overflow

Has anyone tried one of those siphon overflow that they sell.
I am looking to upgrade 20 to 36bow and was wondering if that would be an ok method of makign a sump, because im not to pumped about drilling glass.

Yea. Just make sure you set it up right or you could end up with a flood. ( which has happened to me before. )

Some brands are better than others (Lifereef and Amiracle > Marineland SOS and CPR).

I recommend drilling over any siphon. It might be hard to get pumped about but its easy, cheap, and nearly fool-proof if you take your time and are careful.
