Hey guys

Im planning my aquascape at the moment and wanting some kind of large overhang, to create a cave and a shady spot to house a sun coral.

I generally want ideas so pics please

My sun coral's polyps aren't out in the picture but here's my tank. My camera doesn't do justice to the depth of the tank, but it is 24" deep.

Current design, not happy with it. This time I am going to use rods and paste to create a more structured design with less of a mound effect.

A PVC rack is helpful when building overhangs.

This is my current reef built with that same PVC rack, but with the overhang cut off. I used Thorite cement to anchor the rocks for a stable reef structure. If yo want an overhang, I suggest you wmploy some method to anchor the base structure or eventually it will cave in.

Here's mine after i redid it. I used the PVC rack method. The base was supported with a huge piece of rock.
