what do i do with that air valve on my skimmer pump:confused:

What brand and model of skimmer do you have?

What do you mean by air valve? I have a CPR bakpak and it has an air hose connected to the pump - that simply needs have the other end out of the water, you might have a valve on that, that regulates how much air gets in. You can use it to tune how many bubbles get into the water column. If in doubt leave it all the way open.

ya i got i proclear aquatics wet dry with skimmer and theres an air valve on the end of the hose out of the water i think its to fine tune the bubbles but should it be bearly open or all the way

most likely all the way open; unless you are getting too much water and not enough skimate in your collection cup.

ajust valve on airhoe so your waterlinin in colum is at the bottom of the cup
