Harvested a nest of clownfish larvae last night. Not such large numbers this time and about 75 of them made it into the snagger, but died before I could get them into the larval tank.

The broodstock tank has a lot of cyanobacterium in it presently. It also has a bunch of live rock and a few hardy corals, PC lights. I am trying to get rid of it, but I feed the mama and papa so much that it is very difficult.

Isn't cyano the stuff that makes up red tide? Does it really have cyanide in it? I wonder if that is what affected the nest and new larvae.

The larvae survivors look fine. They are full of rotifers, and swimming normally. Just not as many as last time.

Your thoughts?
K
