Guys, it has to be HOB. There is no room for anything under the stand. It is a tank I maintain. I just took it over and they dont have a skimmer.

Prices around $200

You could get away with the Remora if the tank is stocked lightly or maybe the Coralife Super Skimmer

The Remora Pro w/ mag 3 would probably be your best bet. I used on on my 110 back when it was a mixed reef and the nitrates didn't affect the softies. It should be able to handle a good size bioload with regular water changes. My 110 housed a 3' Zebra Moray, Lionfish, Blueface angel, Navarchus angel, flame angel, purple tang, Fireball angel and a bicolor angel. The collection cup just has to be cleaned and emptied every night to maintain good skimmate.

TurboSnail8898- Could you explain how the Remora Pro w/ mag 3 works. Is it fed by a maxi jet then the mag 3 has a needle wheel that creates the bubbles. could this hang off the back?

I really am unfamiliar with this model.

I recommend the deltec mce600 hangon best needle wheel skimmer I ever used.

Cool skimmer, but I'm guessing it's nowhere near the $200 range.

It’s hard to imagine the spray injection system on the same league with needle-wheel technology. The following HOB needle-wheel skimmers are available from Drs. Foster & Smith:

§ Coralife Super Skimmer 220 ($169.99)

§ Aqua Medic Turboflotor 100 Multi ($224.99) plus Oceanrunner Pump PH2500 ($59.99)
