Hey Greg,

Normally, you've been my exclusive T5 supplier of choice for many years now, but finding myself with a burned out bulb a few weekends ago I had to take a road trip and hit up my LFS.

My current bulbs are 54w ATI's. Blue+ overdriven on an IceCap660. However, the corner LFS only had Helios 10,000k to offer me.

Problem is, my ATI's measure in at like 45.75" pin to pin, where as the Helios come in at 46.75"

I must have been asleep at the wheel because after a couple three dozen T5 threads on RC I can't seem to recall ever reading about different bulbs lengths.

Either way, it looks like your going to be my go to guy.

I'm currently running the 4x54w T5 setup with a pair of 250w Reef Optix III's. However, I've recently switched out the AB 10K's for a pair of Hamilton 10K which seem way bluer than the AB's were.

This means I'm now looking to whiten up my T5's a bit and perhaps gain a little extra punch in the process.

Not looking for any Actinics so I'm thinking 2 blue+ and 2 of something else???

Any suggestions?

many thanks - Brett

Heard the 3,000K makes some corals pop out. Also, heard that ReefGeek will be carrying them.

Hi Brett,

All of the T5 bulbs we carry are the same standard size.

Sizes (Pin to Pin):
24W - 22.0" L
39W - 34.0" L
54W - 45.8" L
80W - 57.5" L

If you want to go just slightly whiter than I would go with 2-ATI Blue Plus and 2-ATI Aquablue Special, but if you want to go a lot whiter I would go with the 2-ATI Blue Plus and 2-Giesemann 6000K Midday Sun.
