so i noticed for the last couple of days my leopard wrasse stayed wedged between the rocks and wouldnt come out to eat. yesterday, he basically "floated" out, seeming to have little control of his swimming ability. he was also breathing very hard.

i immediately moved him to my hospital tank (salinity 1.021) and added 1 teaspoon of methylene blue, as I read this will detoxify any kind of poisoning and oxygenize the water? anyways its a ten gallon tank, and now a very dark blue color.

today he seems to be swimming a little better, still at the bottom and breathing heavy though.

how long do i leave the methylene in for? any additional treatments?

thanks in advance for a quick reply!

Rapid breathing is often a sign of parasitic infestation in the gills. Do you see any spots of the fish that might be ich? Or, does the fish have a hazy appearance?
