fits perfectly for a 40 gallon. bulbs will need to be replaced. the daylight one is broken thats why its not on. i dont need it anymore as ive moved on to halides. i paid $150 for this retrofit when i was employed at petfun. any reasonable offer will be considered, let me know.http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y125/chaoticreefer4u/IMG_0090.jpg
