afew months ago I got mixed zoanthid colony that had 4 or 5 radioactive dragons eyes polyps on it. I separated them and now I have two fist size colonys of them. I am I plan on fraging them and selling them but I dont know how valuble they realy are. How much is a fair price to sell them per polyp?
Thanks in advance

I'd say 2.50 - 3.00 / polyp is a decent price.

I'd say $.50-$1.00/polyp...they're quite common around here (MO - STL), but if they are uncommon in your neck of the woods then I can see someone paying more.

I'd say Chelsey is right. They are very pretty, but also very common. They grow like a weed, obviously.;)

I've got some 20ish poly frags that started as 2-3 polyps that I'll probably sell for $15-20. If for instance they were 40 polyps I'd ask 25-30, and a good size colony probably 50-60. So don't get too caught up in this per polyp pricing.

Well, it started with one very popular zoa that sold on a per polyp price, it went to Hobbyists and now a lot of LFS (specifically online vendors) do it.
I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you see something you like ask around, you'll get it at the price you want if you can wait long enough or are lucky and get it free.;)

I think $8-$15 a frag (10-20 polyps) is the going rate. They are real nice and grow fast so that makes more people have them and drives the cost down. I think anything over $15 a frag for a common zoa is crazy. FWIW most frag swapps I have been to Radio A DE's are $10-15, my fraggs of them included. And I end up giving lots away and bringing some home. Maybe everyone around here already has them though! :)

Well maybe I stand corrected. I just see a lot of people selling them for about that much. Otherwise is it even worth fragging them, boxing them up, taking them to you local UPS store etc for a 20 polyp frag for 20 bux? Thats what I'm saying. Maybe if somebody was buying several frags from me then yeah sure no problem.

If you don't feel like messing with shipping and stuff you could probably take them to your LFS for store credit :)

or sell them to local reefers that can drive to pick them up....

Best thing is to see if you have anyone local to start trading with to expand your own collection :).
