View Full Version : Crazy Foxface Lo
Stain

I recently bought a Foxface Rabbit from a local fish shop. I have had the fish for about 3 days, and it has been doing fine adjusting to my tank. Normal day colors during the day and has a little place to hide at night. I have never had one of these before, and i have been told that they are fairly shy fish. I was walking by my fish take just a minute ago, and i see him streaking across the tank. He is just flying across my tank about 4 hours after the lights go out, he is not in his fright/night time colors, but is acting like he is being chased by something. The tank i have him in is fairly new(1-2 months) has had a cleaning crew for all of that except the first three of four days, 75 gallons, and about 90-100 lbs of live rock, and i have tested my water about once a week and have had no increases so i figured it would finally be time to get a decent fish. Besides the Foxface i only have a Orange Spotted Gobbie, that has been in there for about a month. Can anyone tell me what might be up and what i should do.
Thanks

i would not worry to much i have had a foxface for a year now and he does all sorts of crazy things.
just keep an eye on him.
i would have sworn mine was dead when i got him hone from the LFS if his lip was not trembling.
just make sure he is feeding ok and have a good look at him to make sure his fins etc are ok.

He can and will spook easily until he gets used to you. Now, mine comes right up to the front glass when I approach the tank. He darts quickly away when there is someone he doesnt know! lol BTW, mine loves Spectrum pellets. I feed him the medicated ones. Also feed some nori a few times / week.

LOL I know what you mean.
How long have you had him? I've had mine for almost 2 years. He is about 7 inces long.

i got her a year ago and he is maybe 5 inches.
she practically does somersaults when i take the lettuce clip out the tank waiting for some nori.
