After dusting off the cobwebs from my 50G mounted
in my office wall (it has been dry for 3 or more years)
and stocking it with FW. I was forced to go to the
LFS. I haven't set foot in one in 15 or so years and the
fever hit me again!

Must have saltwater.....again.

I spent a month or so debating over an aquapod or
a biocube and after much research I made a decision.

Here it is............

I had hopes of a chronological step by step of setup,
etc. but those photos are not on photobucket yet and
just as I am with all things reef related, I lack the patience
to wait to post what I have ready now!

I promise better quality in future, but I have been itching
to post photos like I've enjoyed viewing for weeks. I'm
more of a bulletin board newbie than reefer and that's
a toug combo!

Here are some pink and green zoanthids

and button polyps...both under actinics

Niiiice!!! (with Borat's accent) LOL

I have couple of questions:
On the fuge what kind of lighting do you have?
Does your filter sock wraps around the drain pipe perfectly? If so, where did you get it and what's it's name? :)

Thanks!

P.S. Good nano tank :D

Thanks, the light came with the sump. I wish I could tell
you more than "top aquarium series" which is written on it.
I had ordered an ecosystem sump that came in damaged.
My LFS provided a substitution (I'm embarrassed that I don't
know what brand/ model) but it is superior to what I had ordered.

As for the sock, if you are asking if it will "cinch" up around the
drain pipe, yes, but not perfectly. I have since loosened it to
allow surges to drain into sump without splashing out top
of cinched bag.

The sock is just about the only feature I'm not happy with.
I like the thick cloth material it is made of for micro bubble
control, but it constricts water flow alittle too much and
inflates to encroach on skimmer overflow and spews out
top. I really don't like the nylon only bags due to bubbles.

Just wanted to say that you have some beautiful corals there. Right now I'm in the process of adding more live rock to my 3 yr old 20 L ( yes its a baby tank) lol. And I hope that I can start getting more corals and making it look more like a reef. I still havent mastered getting the corals to "cover" the rock yet but i'm trying. Its so hard to aquascape in a small space and still have room for corals. Post more pictures when you can!

The only method for coverage I've used is BUY MORE!
