Nah, just have a lot of time in front of the computer... No kidding aside, everything has to poo in one form or another. Just looks weird when we see something doing it that doesn't have a butt!

I have often wondered about this, because some times a little bead comes out....other times (less frequently) a string comes out.
Iv'e read that the string is zooxanthelle and the times that I have seen it was either on a fresh shipment or when I changed the lights. Kinda leads me to believe that it is zooxanthelle.
These shiped rough, had bite marks, and other problems...If you look close you can see the strings.

Two months later they pulled out of it...the ones with strings died.

Do they tend to poo together as a colony? I have two colonies and have noticed that as soon as one starts to poo, the others quickly follow suit.

My first colony that did it was after I left the lights on for 24 hours straight.
The second was a fairly new one that I took from the bottom of the tank to the top (to get more light). So I do think it has something to do with the light. I lost the first colony. The second one I am hoping for the best.
Maybe the light scared the shi. out of them.

Mine usually "poo" when something is bothering them condition wise. Check your params, are you using tap water?

More then likely it is xooxanthellae.
Like others have already said, test your params.
Salinity
Alkalinty
Calcium
Nitrate, Nitrite, Ammonia and Phosphate.
Stop running carbon.
That colony might have to be moved further away from your lights.
