Yikes!
Crocea normally have well rounded edges on their mantle. There are instances where some areas might appear a bit ruffled (sometimes when overextending), but to me, that clam is beyond the early stage of PM, as the edge is ruffled all around. Some are even folded over already:(

interesting, my crocea doesn't look like that, but it does when there is too much flow in my tank.

I dont think that photo is undoctored. I think they purposefully made the edge of the mantle look undulated to show is as a flowing, undulating soft tissue.

the color does look photoshopped but if you look at the edge of the mantle you can see a few spots that are starting to curl upwards
