How long should I QT new fish

I think I read somewhere that it takes 2 weeks of Hyposalinity to ward off ich. Is two weeks long enough to QT a new fish? 1.07-1.09 is where I want the silinity to be for hypo right?

QT for 4 to 6 weeks. That sounds right for hypo (I assume you meant 1.009), though I don't practice hypo myself. My approach is to only treat after I've noticed a problem.
