EuroReef RS80 Gate Valve Mod

I was thinking about doing the gate valve mod to my new EuroReef RS80, but I've seen many ways to do it.

Any comments on what's successful out there?

Should I set it up like the gate valve on the EuroReef RC series?

Any ideas would be helpful:)
