Hi, my tank is 24 inches deep, 90gals and I have roughly 400 watts of compacts by coralife. I read the bio on the torch and it says moderate lighting so I'm really not sure where to place him. Can someone give me advice?

Tnx Rob

low flow, and low to medium light, they Do not like being under direct light... so the side of the tank somwhere where they can waft around in the low flow.

400w of PC isn't as much as 400w of MH or T5. You could place it at any height you want. Just be sure that the flow isn't so strong it whips the tentacles so that they don't fully open up.

Not true, mine is directly under my 150W halide near the top of the tank and it grows like mad

Ive got a few different Euphyllias, inc Torch, very close to both 175wt and 250wt bulbs and they do fine; you will get better extension if you drop them down a bit. In your case, I would say most anywhere in the top 2/3 of the aquarium should be safe; just keep an eye on it for a couple weeks to see how it reacts.
