Some Good News On The Ethernet

There is a little debate going on at the UK forums about the possible inability of the Ethernet Modules Firmware\Webpage to be updated. This started because owners of the Beta Ethernet Modules could not use them on Ver 5.0 Software and we're told to send them back to Aquatronica for update to the latest version. Worried, some people logically interrupted this to mean that we're going to be stuck with whatever came on the current Ethernet Modules and the possibility of additional features looked bleak.

I wrote to Aquatronica and they have explained that the Beta Modules did not have code in them to accept updates Via the AQ controller but that the Final versions that we are all getting does have the Code in them and can be fully updated with each new firmware release. Also they say that any Beta Module that they Manually update will be able to accept Automatic updates afterwards.

what version should we get for the final one?

I think it's Software Ver 1. I dont have a new ethernet module yet to confirm.
The Beta's Had Hardware Ver 0.0 and Software Ver 0
I think the Hardware is still 0.0 and software now Ver 1

BTW LOL looking back at my orginal post, the spell checker changed my Interpreted to Interrupted. Should have looked closer before posting :)

Im going to buy the ethernet module in the near future, can you let me know what i should ask for? The beta module, is that correct?

There is only one available and that is version 1

The Betas were units sent out during the testing phase and they are not compatable with the current software. You cant buy one.
