Hello filter guys,
I was wondering what the physical dimensions, particularly the length, of the tsunami double DI add on. I'm not sure if it will fit in the space available under my sink. Otherwise i'll have to go with the tide single. Thanks guys!

Fishbulb2 the Tsunami Dual DI is 10" wide by 14" high by 5 1/2" deep.

Thanks for the info guys. I think it will fit but it will be tight. I have one more question. What carbon cartridge would you recommend for a water source that I believe has chloramines. Would the "MATRIKX +1 CARBON BLOCK FILTER CHLORINE GUZZLER" be suitable? I'm trying to convert an old Water General that I've been running for years into something more suitable. To keep it more compact I'd like to run a 1 micron sediment filter in the first spot, the above mentioned carbon block in the second spot, and then convert the last chamber to a clear DI filter (run after the RO of course). This would reduce my carbon blocks from two blocks that i've been running for years, to one block. Do you think I could get away with the single carbon block if I replace it every 6 months? Thanks for any input you might have. The unit has been running for 4 years, and I normally change all the prefilters once a year (that's what they recommended although now I know it should be more like 6 months). The cheap desal membrane has maintained about 95-96% percent rejection over this time and my input pressure is a little over 80 psi.
Thanks a ton!

If you have chloramines it is best to run two carbon filters as long slow carbon contact time is important. If you use carbon blocks use the Matrikx +1 in the second stage and the Martikx CR1 in the third stage for best carbon block filtering. The Desal is running as billed but when you replace it go to a Filmtec 75 GPD and you should get about 98%. Your pressure is great some guys would kill for 80 psi.

Thanks a ton Jim. I'm looking foward to refurbishing this thing and will be in touch soon. I guess I should have added my pressure is 80 psi after a regulator. Otherwise it ranges between 90 and 100 psi. I have no idea why it's so high but the Water General said not to allow the pressure to go over 85 psi, hence the regulator. Oh well, better than needing a booster pump I guess!

Thanks again for all the great info and advice. I placed the order for the tsunami, filmtec 75 membrane, and some prefilters. Looks like I should be good to go.
Happy holidays Filter Guys,

Your order was shipped Wednesday Thanks for doing business with us. The DI housings look like they are running empty or partly empty because there is no back pressure but are operating properly and the DI cartridge is running full zero TDS is the key.
