i was reading a thread about a person who did not acclimate his corals when he chaged tanks and changed lights. He had MH and now T5 and his SPS died and LPS are starting to. This was the first i had heard of this and because i have T5 i am very intested but dont really now how to do it or why you do it. can anyone clear this up for me?

PS dont know if this is the right forum

Here is a multi thread link about this subject, you will have to go backwards a few splits but it really documents very well the issues and problems of that change. It is going to take you awhile to get through this but you should have a good idea of issues you will encounter

T5's will pretty much cook your stuff if you do not take a careful approach to acclimation (light diffusers, shade etc)
