View Full Version : Ethernet Module update and Old saved Config

I saved my old config for my system and I did the upgrade to V.3
But now I can't load my old config I get an error code. Are the old config files not campatable and I need to redo all my settings?

The old configs pre V3 will not work. You will need to re enter all your settings.

However, when you upgraded it should have kept all your settings, or did you do a reset on the controller?

Unfortunately, with version 3 (unlike earlier versions) it doesn't save a config when it does the update so you won't even be able to go back to that.

Sorry to hear that, Redbull is right, you got to redo all your settings by hand. Now this is a case when I do get PO'd with Aquatronica, they should post this Info on their website, "Old Backups are not compatible with Version 5" Anybody reading ;)

Robby What I should have done is upgraded no reset then saved. I would have been fine...

Yep.
I Save then upgrade and pray that I don't have to use the saved file. I don't reset, I never have. All in all I don't trust the saved files, they sometimes leave out items, so you have to check it through and make sure it restored everything. Still its better than going from scratch. AQ really needs to improve that feature.

Yes they do, I also wish I could atleast open and view the saved file for review without a connection. This way even if it is lost on the controller you can just copy items over.

I wish I could tell you otherwise, but as far as my test have proved even a saved config in the current version won't work if you have more than 2 plugbars or a dosing pump.

I hope this will be fixed soon, and I will demonstrate the problem to AQ so they are able to fix it in a future release.

Im glad that your bringing it to their attention. For some strange reason It was really never talked about before, maybe most people just never used it till now.
