I am looking for ideas from the general population here as to what tang you would consider to put with the following fish I aldready have. I will be upgrading to a larger tank in the next few weeks. Here is what I have currently:

3 false percula clowns(had them for about a year now)
1 purple tang(healthy 3 inches, but can be a bully)
Various inverts(blue-legs, trochus, nassi snails, sand sift star)
Trumpet coral, frogspawn, huge colt, and 4 inch crocea clam.

I am considering adding either a sohal or kole yellow eye tang along with perhaps a few black/white percula's.

If I must get rid of the purple tang to get a sohal, then I would do that.:mad2:

Thanks, Steve

What size tank are you upgrading to?

I have not yet made up my mind on my next tank. It will be at a minimum 72 gallon all the way up to a 125. Thanks, Steve

then i'd say kole

sohal is way too big even for a 125

I think you would be best with a yellow eye kole in a tank that size. A sohol gets huge and fast! Not a slow grower like most the tangs we're used to. The minumum recommended is a 180 and I want one so bad but I really think that's even pushing it. They're about 18 inches and they get to a foot really really quick.

even a purple and a kole is risky in a 72, i'd opt for the 125 you wont regret it
