is it worth it to buy a used 240g acrylic tank for $350? it has a lot of hair like scratches and water stains, can those be buffered out? tank is 4 yrs old

If it is a well build tank then yes. You are looking at ~$1000 plus shipping for a new tank like this.

As long as the scratches are very fine they are easuly buffed out. Takes a little time and elbow grease but will come out!

^thats half of what a new 240 in acrylic would cost^ I would buy it in a heartbeat if it was made by a reputable builder. Even if it had deep scratches I would buy it and use as a sump for the large system you are obviously planning.....if you decide to pass and are in the North east send me a pm and I will buy it :)

$350 is cheap..... probably have $1500 ish in a new one
