Now that I have my cube up and running full steam I have been looking into getting a new skimmer to replace my css 125. I have liked my css 125, but I belive my system has out grown its skimming capacity.

My system volume is about 110g. I have my 40g cube, 29g and my sump all plumbed together. Right now my tank is pretty light on fish, but I want to add 4 or 5 more between the two tanks. I have 3 preculas and one mandrin (she eats brine). My main load is feeding my lps. I try to feed them three times per week. I know this is a little excessive, but I see very good growth from doing this. Also, I have been bitten by the SPS bug. I am wanting to run the 29g as a lps/zoo tank and the cube as a SPS tank. Also, I have been fighting bubble algae and hope a better skimmer with help me win the battle.

I am going to need a good skimmer to clean my tank; however, I am not going to have a ton of money to throw at a skimmer. I have been looking at Aquatic System's Design stuff and have requested a quote from him, but I have also been reading about the new Octopuss skimmers. People seem to be having very good luck with them.

I was specifically looking at this one:

Is it better to have a smaller recirc skimmer or a larger NW? Here is a smaller recir skimmer from them:

But you need a feed pump.

I am looking for as much input as possible so I can attempt to make an informed decision.

Also, I have heard people talk about overskimming. Is this possible? How do you know if you are doing it?
