questions about aqua C-EV series 120

I just picked this skimmer up locally. In the instructions it says to run a mag 5. My question is where and how do i attach it and run it? Silly question i know but i cant figure this out! Pics would help out greatly!

connect the pump to the black barbed elbow that is on the top of the black (box) body of the skimmer. Use a barbed fitting on the top of the pump.

ok. Great! now another question...What about the grey 90 deg with the valve? what about the 1" in the middle with the valve nozzle??

This is an EV-180 which is slightly larger and uses a Mag 7. The plastic hose wrapped in black tape runs from the mag 7 pump in the sump to the spray injector. (Use plastic hose clamps to secure the already tight fit). The clear plastic tube is just an overflow line to a 1 gallon jug.

Hi Craig,
Does that plastic hose wrapped in black tape keep algae from growing inside? Is it just electrical tape? Does the tape contact the water? My hose is good and brown--all slimed/gunked up I'd imagine.

Yes. I wrapped it with electrical tape above the water line. Keeps algae from growing in the line.
