I saw this new wavemaker, it is supposed to be much cheaper than a tunze wavebox. But I don't know how much water movement can it produce. What do you think?

i not just use a ocean motion or a close loop or wavy seas i think in my mind a close loop with a om or wavy seas would be awesome.

Man if I had a dollar for everytime someone compared this to the Tunze Wavebox.... :p

This is not a wavemaker, all it does it agitates the surface of your aquarium. Basically think of a dog lapping a big bowl of water. That's it!

all it does is move the top of the water so you get uniform shimmer lines from your halides. I saw it in action at MACNA and it was pretty lame IMO. Nothing even close to a wavebox.
