All of a sudden, a huge colony closed up and will barely open. Prior to this they've been flourishing over a softball sized rock (or bigger). The colonies that surround it are all doing fine. I'm thinking something's "infected" that one colony. I had red/brown flatworms recently, and that might be the cause, though they don't seem to bother any other zoos that are RIGHT next to them.
No spots, no strange coloration, no change in environment.
Should i take the rock with the whole colony out and do a Tropic Marin Coral Cure dip?

Keep an eye on them for a day or two, more than likely something has disturbed them like a crab or fish nipping. If they don't look like they are dying they are probably fine.

it's been 3 days now, maybe 4 that the whole colonly has closed up. Maybe they're jus tmore sensative than the zoos around to disturbances...

Might want to do a freshwater dip and see if anything falls off. I've had that happen to a colony or two and a day or two after the dip they recover.

i'll post a pic tonight.
there's no white dots, no strange coloration, you can only see the tips of the skirts peeking out. the colonies all around it are all ok. I mean they even have grown over each other at times. It's been this way for months.

ok sorry didn't have any pictures, but yesterday they finally all opened back up in full bloom. no color loss, nothing. What do you think changed? I haven't changed any params in the tank, and still do weekly water changes with NSW from the store (harbor bay NSW).
well, at least they're back on track now.
