I will be setting up my H&S recirculating skimmer soon and would like to know how others have their plumbing setup. Im talking about connecting the skimmer to the overflow. Now woul it be best to use a "T" fitting or a "Y", and why? i originally was planning on using a "y" but have heard conflicting reports from people. I know water travels down the path of least resisitance, so I thought a "Y" might work smoother than a "T".

If a "t" would work better please explain why? Or include pics of your own setup!!!

The plumbing from my overflow is 1", then i plan on reducing it to 1/2" before it gets to the skimmer.

Thanks

Both will work fine IME. I have used both. Just set the Y so the water will fall directly to the skimmer through the straight channel and not through the branching channel. Do the same if you decide to use a T.

I have also found that it is best to reduce the plumbing as close to the skimmer as you can.
