i have 1 on my fish tank and it does fine...however, i have heard a lot people having trouble with them....look into the jalli heaters, they are titanium and i have 1 on my reef that has been there f 4 years without a problem.

I wouldn't waste my money on the Won Bros titanium heaters. I have two 150w and one 250w.. They're the kind with the digital display. One of them has already had the digital display go (ie it was showing 160F as the tank temp) after less than a year. None of them show the same temperature. In the end I use a more accurate thermometer to check tank temp and just tweaked the temp dials without looking at the scale (ie turn it back and forth a bit until I get the "right" temperature).

If I was to do again I'd go with those Jalli heaters. Sooooo much cheaper and you can just hook 'em up to a real temperature controller and get much better results.

My Won started leeching stray electricity into my tank. I use the ebos now with great results, but they are glass.

I only keep the Won Bros heaters around because they look impressive when I show people my fish room.

"Oooo, what do all those different numbers mean?"....

I had one for less than a year and it broke. I now use the Jager ones. I've had them for over 2 years now with NO PROBLEMS. And they're completely submersible.

After two weeks the Won titanium 500W heater element die .
I got a new one under warranty but two weeks not good at all.
I use it with my new rancho controller.

I bought one with the digital read-out and it still heats the tank and keeps the correct temperature but the temp reads some crazy number all the time now.....

Also every now and then it clicks 5-6 times when it hits up against the temp setting I set via the dial....(very annoying)

I will never buy another one again...... and I'm glad to see others post the same........

I'll stick with glass Eheim Jagers........
