so I have a 55 gallon tank that I wanna put a fuzzy dwarf lion, humu trigger, and a snowflake eel in. any suggestions about what to use for filtration and lighting. and does anyone see anything wrong with keeping these fish together. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)
Snowflake and dwarf lion maybe ok for a 55, but the conventional thinking is that a trigger needs a bigger tank, because it will grow. For filtation, the best skimmer you can afford, and then for biologic filtration there are a few different ways to go. Most people go with live rock I think. I also like to use a canister filter, or hang on the bak filter for carbon and mechanical filtration.
Lighting for fish only is pretty much your choice. I have a couple of ghetto shop lights on my fish only. I used daylight bulbs, but the light looks kinda yellow, but it works for now.
Do a lot of reading on the boards and websites befor you make your final decision. Planning and preparing is half the fun.
