I recently purchased the Ocean Wave + RO/DI unit. First of all, it was a pleasure dealing with the Filter Guys, and if the thing works half as well as it was packaged, I'll be a happy guy.

I was under the impression that these things worked better with hot water than with cold, yet on the bag the faucet adapter came in there is a sticker that says that hot water will damage the membrane.

Is it better to tap these things into the hot water line or the cold water line? Unfortunately I don't have the option of luke warm water.

It MUST be the cold water line. I think 77 degrees is optimal but you need to use cold as you hot water line will be the worse option. Definitely cold.

You must be very careful using the laundry sink adapter. Water temps over 100 degrees will melt the membrane thus the warning. Max water temp for max performance is 77 degrees. If you only have a hot or cold faucet please use the cold faucet.
