Hey Hellolights...quick question:

Here's my original post in the Lighting forum:

http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=993943

My CF retrofit kit is a no-name brand....not really sure who the manufacturer is, but it's a 4X65W retrofit kit with 2 separate ballasts. I think one of the ballasts is toast. I guess I'll be taking the lighting off the canopy to inspect it, but are there any tell-tale signs that the ballast is burnt, rather than some other part of the lighting system?

Also, on your website, I couldn't really find an exact match for a 2X65W ballast replacement. All of them say to make sure the ballast matches the manufacturer of my retrofit kit, but I think it's custom made.

Any help would be appreciated...thanks!

Here you go: http://www.hellolights.com/aroelpocoba.html

The MR-192 is designed to run two 55/65W or 96W lamps. Make sure its the right size for your fixture and it will work fine for you.

BTW,

The best way to tell that a ballast is bad is to try your lamps on another fixture. If they work on a seperate fixture then your ballast isnt working properly.
