I have a question regarding the proheat 2 heaters. As many have already experienced the problems with these heater controllers malfunctioning. I had this problem and got frustrated since I know the heater element still works. I am going to hook this heater up to a regular process controller. I need to know if anyone has info on the 300W version.

I need input voltage/amperage to run this heater.

If anyone can chime in I'd appreciate it. I'll email the proheat fools to get the amperage load and I should be able to back calculate the input voltage.

300w/120v=2.5a

I have two of the 300 watters hooked up to a Ranco controller with no problems. 5 amp total, very low, no worries.

thanks for the info. I checked marinedepot as well and the spec somewhere there said about 3A peak. I just wanted to make sure the heater cartridge ran off of 120VAC and not DC or a lower AC voltage.

thanks again for replying
