What kind of anemone is it? I need to get rid of them. There are about 7 of them. They are all the size of a baseball except for well the little baby ones. They grow like weeds.

not an anemone, that's a hairy mushroom. Extremely hardy, even moreso than many of the discoma type mushrooms. I have three different color variations in my tank, including the one you have their. But my favorite is the purple/blue one I recently aquired. They can spread quickly like any shroom will, plus you gotta watch em around smaller fish, they'll close up around em like you pulled a drawstring on em, and "gulp". I lost a couple fish over the last year that I blame them on, although i have no proof and just needed somebody to blame.

I paid good money for my first ones, and they weren't as colorful as those ones. Definatly try and sell/trade em. That's quality corals right there.

Im in Placerville. About 20 minutes out of Sacramento up towards Tahoe. I mainly was going to get rid of them because i was under the understanding that they were indeed Anemone's. So they are a coral then. Still might be getting rid of them. They take up alot of room in my 50 gallon.

you can propagate them yes....cut them lenght wise (not like a pizza)...you need to keep the mouth intact....cut them off at the "stalk" half way up....
funny....now you want to propagate.....
have fun

Not really! I am still on the verge of getting rid of them. One problem....hehehe. My HUSBANDS tank. Since I have gotten interested in the tank and things I have been taking over his tank. He does all the important stuff like keeping it up and running. I on the other hand am interested in selling and buying new things. I would love to do a 150gallon but im waiting until we own a home. I am still interested in selling them. i need to run it by the boss first. So keep your fingers crossed! Ill PM you when i know for sure. Im not even sure on what they go for. Dont want to price too low or too high.
