I have a Lumenarc 3 DE pendant and was wondering if the pendant had to be grounded. I know the ballast needs to be and is attached to the powercord but does the pendant need to be?

If it does, do I then attach the 2 ground wires (pendant and ballast) to the powercord?

Thanks

yes, you should ground the fixture. just run an appropriately gauged wire (i pulled the black wire out of an extra length of 12 gauge romex), you can run it to the ground wire from an outlet (or j box) or you can ground to a cold water pipe. they sell clamps for that at your local hardware store.

Yes but for proper standard procedure I recommend to use green wire, black is for the hot line and white for the neutral.

Now you only need a GFCI :D
