Skimmer problem,

The last couple of days my skimmer stopped producing enough bubbles to operate correctly. I can not figure it out as i have taken it out of the sump and cleaned everything and see no blockages. Any suggestions? Its only 6 months old.

What type of skimmer?

I'm not too familiar with those, but if it has an air line going to the pump or venturi, make sure that it doesn't have salt creep in it.

I have cleaned everything, but stil not functioning properly.

Does the pump have an airline connected to it? If so, can you hear air being sucked in?

Most likly the airline is cloged some. Clean it or replace it. I replace mine every once in awhile. Also remember that many other things can effect a skimmer such as:

- large water changes
- Cleaning the tank
- Adding a new addtive such as Purple up for example

Whenever I also feed more than normal my skimmer will go crazy and the foam production will stop for awhile.
