bubble algae

I am have a out break of bubble algae I need some tips on how to get rid of it. The tank is a 110 tall is there any fish out there that like to eat it.. or is there andy tricks to elminate it? I know about emerald crabs but they don't seem to last long in the tank I have two in their right now.

Pull it out by hand and be very careful not to pop it. Popping it spreads it FAST.

Are you using a macroalgae refugium on your setup? That's the best way to eliminate it... My foxface also loves the stuff, but I don't know how well one would do in a 110 tall... That's a 4' tank right??

I don't have a solution, but pulling it out by hand is almost impossible if the bubbles are imbedded in the rock.

^^Not to mention if they pop, the spores will spread and you'll have more bubble algae.

It's tough to get rid of. I have taken out all my rocks and scrubbed them clean just to have it slowly return. I tried that method 3 times. I recently bought 2 emerald crabs to try to keep it under control. Hopefully it works.

Emerald crabs work best. I pull and pop any I can get to, after all the crabs aren't eatting them whole!

I cut one end of my siphon hose to a point and when I do water changes I use the pointed end to scrape the bubbles off of the rock. That way if they pop the spores will get sucked out.

I've tried to pull them off rock before and they are spreading more I guess I broke to many in the tank. but I'll keep trying unless you want to send that fox face over :).

Is it possible to inject it with something like kalk?
