I am thinking to use in the intake of a closed loop system a brown electric pvc connection with a 1" sprinkler pipe. I only want to use it for the color. Are they save for the aquarium?

Thank you.

I do not know, but I'd guess that they are OK. I'd clean it with warm soapy water and rinse very well before use.

FWIW, I thought electrical conduit was usually grey, so if it is something else unusual, my comments may not apply.

schedule 80 is elect. conduit and is gray. shcedule 40 is for plumbing, and its white. the brown i believe he is refering to is the underground sprinkler system type. ive seen it at Lowes, the connections and plumbing for them are black. i dont recall ever seeing brown, it may not be PVC. i would make sure just for the leaching possibility. have a great day,
