I have been reading back and forth and up to the 55th page of this Chemistry Forum and I'm still confused.

As you can see at my ugly picture, I have a 75gal with two 10 gal as sump. I also have a 5gal bucket serve as a RO top off for my system everytime it evaps.

ok here are my questions: lets say i buy this doser below at Ebay. Will this be enough for my tank? Keep in mine, i will keep a combination of LPS, SPS, clams etc.

I check my cal and alk level last night and its pretty low: 270 Cal, and 8 alk.

Now, do i use the dosing pump and let it drip 24/7 into my SUMP or my 5gal RO bucket?

Do I still need to have my 5 gal RO in this case? or just completely replace it with a bigger bucket with limewater as a top off? if this the case, isnt it a little too much limewater to add at one time? isnt this going to cause a ph spike?

Boost the calcium with calcium chloride now. Don't wait for a doser. Kent turbo calcium, Dowflake, ESV, Warner, etc. This calculator shows how much to use:

At least you are probably ready for Reef Chemistry Quiz 2007, coming in January. :D

Limewater can be the only top off. It is all that I use. You can drip, or use a pump (if it is slow enough).

Lets say i finish mixing the kalk with RO, and let it sit for 24 hours before use. After i use all the limewater, can i readd more RO water to the old kalk powder untill its all gone? or do i have to throw it away and add new kalk in everytime?

You can add more water and kalk at any time. I do that regularly.
