Running RO/DI unit only once a week....bad??

I plan on installing a Tunze osmolator to a 30g reservoir to do my water top off, and in doing so, the reservoir will hold enough water for about 6-7 days of usage. This means that the RO/DI unit will work for a day or two straight and then nothing until the next reservoir refill. Is there any negative affects on the filters/membrane/resins while sitting in still water for that amount of time? Please clarify before I go ahead with this idea. Thx.

As long as its only a week you are fine. Just make sure it is protected from the elements as in direct sunlight and temperature extremes so you don't grow any nasties inside the housings. Make sure you follow the 6 month maintenance schedule and you should be fine.

It will be in a dark rubbermaid container with a lid and sitting at room temperature. Thank you for your input.
