I am not an expert but he looked very similar to the one we had. He has not been in there for a few weeks. But the customer we were holding it for who is also a fellow RC member brought in this same page before picking him up thinking it was the same as well

Plenty of people do it but I suppose you always run the risk of the Mantis breaking the glass. The Nano Wave is a pretty thin glass. I have kept them in similar tanks for years with no problems but I would not say you would be 100 percent safe.

it wont be a problem with the glass since it is a spearing species, if it was a peacock that would be a different story, i dont recommend any smashing type in the nanowave that is a smashing type, a spearing type would be perfect in a tank like that, a P. ciliata would be the best choice...as for the one they have in the nano i believe is a L. Maculata, since the L. glabriuscula is extremely rare in the pet trade, is the L. Mac for sale? if so i would like to get one considering they get to be about 16" long

if those are available i might see if they can hold them, they are the same species but they are totally different colors, they might be sexually dimorphic which means mating which means research for me, were they hosed in the same tank? or are all of salty critters tanks that amazing looking

I believe we currently have one spearer left that is the color of the bluer picture, actually most likely is the same one pictured. I do not recall them being that different in color, I believe the color/white balance in each picture is causing it to look so drastic.

nope, they WERE actually that different in color when I went in there. I have more pics if anyone wants to e-mail me
