Hi, I was wondering if anybody knows if pipefish or any other snygnathids are hermaphrodites( ability to change sex)? Thanks.

There has been a case where a seahorse showed both sex organs were present. Sorry I don't know enough of the details to explain further. I believe Dr. Belli performed a necrospy. Will look around for more info.

The reason i ask is i have 1 female bluestripe pipefish in my tank right now and the lfs also has a female in stock. So, I was wondering if can put them together and eventually one will change sex like an anthias.

i work at a lfs also and i know for a fact that if u put 2 males in the same tank they will fight i have a male and female and they are loveing each other very much so
