before steve was elected, shiela was doing updates. But as they said, steve is gonna handle technical and shiela is doing content like images and such.

Steve, You need to add new store to Links page.
The store is Fish Planet, www.fishplanet.biz
Located at
916-564-2782
Howe ‘Bout Arden
2100 Arden Way, Suite 172
Sacramento, CA 95825
The store opened up Mid Dec.
They are still getting everything setup. So far looking good.

Can folks now join up with MARS online? I missed the last meeting and wanted to sign up for the new year and get a calender on when the shindigs are scheduled.

not at this moment, I will be working on that soon. I think we have everything, it just needs to be implemented to take affect.

The changes I made in Nov were just to update the LFS and meeting information. I also took the online form off for sign ups. You could fill it out but nothing was coded to happen if you submitted it. Steve will take that on.
I don't know who Gabe is myself, but it was still a nice pic so I left it there. :)
Mandy will be making the rounds to fish stores to establish a new list of those that offer MARS members a discount.
I'll meet with Steve, probably after Christmas, to update the meeting information. I don't think we have speakers set up yet for next year.
There's lots to do, but we'll make the site a lot better in the coming months.

I think it would be cool and have some more traffic if there was a featured tank.....not so much a tank of the month like on RC, which seems to just show the best.....but have people submit pics (full tank or macro) for the webmaster to pick, maybe have a monthly gallery of say 6-10 pics that are themed...who knows, lots of possibilities.......a little power for the title call it. But I would suggest making it so where the guy just starting out has just as much chance with his nano cube and mushrooms as the guy with a large gal tank with every LE imagineable.......

I agree. Most of us could have a tank of the month if we had unlimited funds. There's a place for that, we can all dream of hitting the lotto and it's interesting to see what people do with large amounts of water and money.
I think a local member's tank would be cool.

I think a version of that on the MARS website like that would be fun and create more traffic to the MARS site.

Hey All

I think you're seeing the website we're working on.

The current MARS website is at...

www.MarineAquarist.org

The one we're working on is at...

www.MarineAquaristRoundtable.org

It doesn't have the graphics yet.

I was so confused I did not know if anyone was to know of that website...

I like the new one. www.MarineAquaristRoundtable.org. It seems to be more functional as a club reference. The previous one is still a good informational page. Keep up the good work everyone! I'm excited to see what MARS will do in 2007!

Hey All

Thanks.

While the new website is probably more functional than the old one it definately isn't as visually appealing. I'm hoping I can talk Minh into sharing some of the cool graphics he's created for the current website.

The board members can administer their sections of the new website from anywhere in the world. The site should be very current.

Brian - nice site. :D You're welcome to use any of the graphics. I never considered them "my graphics." They belong to the club.

BTW - I am willing to help out in anyway (in an unofficial role). :D

In all due respect, the graphics of the old site are great! Can't they be incorporated?
