I've just set this up and boy is it a tad noisy.

Apparently there is a "Noise Dampening" kit, has anyone fitted one of these and what does the kit contain?

Before you purchase the noise dampening kit try and install a small peice of foam between the pump and the housing. It removed most of the noise from mine. You can heare the air intake tube more than the pump since I did this. If you search the Deltec form at the bottom of the forms main page you will find that this is what they recomend. Hope this helps. FWIW the little extra effort it takes to quiet this skimmer down is well worth it. I have found it to be easy to adjust and I can pull whatever type of skimmate I want (wet or dry) and the skimmer responds almost imediately.
