Hey everyone,

I tried doing searches for an hour, but it's too busy so I thought I would post. I was going to do a Aqua Medic Nano.. but thinking about doing on in a 10g instead.

Was curious, is this a good light/fixture:

20 inch 2x40 Watt Current USA PowerCompact Orbit Fixture

http://www.marinedepot.com/md_viewItem.asp?idproduct=CU01020

I wanted something with a MH but I can't find one small enough to mount to the tank.

Please let me know if this unit is reliable. I'm looking to have decent light to do some mid range light corals.

Thanks.

Here is a fixture with MH small enough to fit to your tank

By the way, I'M planning a 72g AGA for my next system!
COuld you please describe me where you got your sump/fuge and if you bought the stand that comes witht the tank!

Thanks!

I'm not sure what size you are looking for, but the CurrentUSA SunPods go down to 16.5". You can find them at MarineDepot:

I do not have one, and can not comment on its quality, but it looks like the right size. You should be able to find reviews online.

I have the 36" orbit. Although I can keep most softies, shrooms, polyps, most sps is out. I'd think of going with a halide fixture or t5's if you have any interest in keeping more demanding corals. It is a quality company with good products though.

Heya. Thanks for the link.

Yea, I bought the tank and stand but I upgraded to the nicer stand. Well worth the money. I actually built my sump out of a 30g AGA tank and it was a real pain to get it to fit into the stand.. but I got it in there. Here are some photos for you.

I love the way the bows look, but the canopy was a real pain. I would not buy one again if I was going with a fitted hood. Only a tank mount or hanging mount system.

Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot, I do like those better. I will look into it.

I def would prefer halides if I can. Thanks!

Great Setup Brandon,
My girlfriend is really into reef too (yeah!) so she wants to get the stainless steel stand that you can have with the 72g bowfront.

I'll probably do like you and build my sump with the biggest tank I can fit under there.

Do you have a simple schema or anything on how you build the sump/fuge? Details, dimensions, return pump, etc...

And what skimmer did you choose? Are you happy with it?

Yeah, for the light I'm planning to go with a nice pendant fixture. I don't want a canopy. I think I will go with the outer orbit 48" from current-usa so it will look very clean and modern. After all it will be a big piece of "furniture" in the living room!

Keep reefing!
