40 Gallon Rebuild

Posted 10/13/2015 at 07:33 PM by JamesHolt
Updated 10/27/2015 at 07:50 PM by JamesHolt

Decided to rebuild the 40g after all..
Earlier this month I re-arranged my frag/softie tank and put some of the rock in the 40g that I was using to hold my foxface and panther grouper until I finished my 180g. .
In the process of doing that I wound up killing my foxface with a nitrate/nitrite spike.. (forgot to turn the return pump back on)
So I decided to rebuild the 40g since I wouldn't need the 180g as quickly..
So this is what my frag/softie wound up looking like......

Still getting started at 6 months old

Posted 10/13/2015 at 12:44 PM by Olliesshop (Ollie's Reef)

Well, I figured it's time to start my Blog, after transitioning from my 125 gallon Freshwater tank. Here's many videos of the tank and the Cichlids I bred and raised, at my YouTube channel ... https://www.youtube.com/user/olliesshop/videos. I've had Cichlid Freshwater aquariums for over 40 years ... yes that makes me old.

I got interested in Saltwater...
