Sand-dwelling anemone and eggcrate?

When I initially set up my tank I used eggcrate to put the rocks on as a piece of mind thing of myself. But now I'm curious, in doing that have I made it impossible to keep a sand-dwelling anemone since it won't be able to attach to the bottom glass? Thanks!

I have eggrate on the bottom of my tank, and my LTA hasnt moved in over a year. Just make sure you have a deep enough sand bed and it wil lfind a happy spot.

I used to always use a small glass dessert plate under the sand where I wanted the anemone to attach. I didn`t have eggcrate to deal with- but it makes moving them easier!

My LTA attaches to the bottom of a rock under the sand. Eggcrate should not be a problem as long as you have 3 to 4 inches of sand where the anemone is.

Great thanks guys, I was nervous that I might have screwed myself.

My concern would be if you ever needed to re/move the anemone -- imagine that it would be very difficult if it was attached to the egg crate and the bottom glass at the same time.

That's a good point, I didn't think it would attach at all with the eggcrate. I thought they needed smooth surfaces to attach to.

See, don't know what they will do -- might not attach at all, might attach to only the egg crate, or to both.
