One of the nicest corals I have ever had

I got a similar coral a few months ago but I gave it to a friend and he named it the "Wolverine" but unfortunately he lost it, I got this new one that is exactly the same one, I am not too sure which type of acro is it but it is truly a beautiful coral. here is a picture hope you enjoy it.

Ok but I'm almost positive it's Fiji I have ordered close
2000 pieces of Fiji acropora for my store back home in nc
It's a beautiful coral no label needed

reefsahoy 04/28/2012 08:33 PM

The last time i came by your house all your corals looked really nice in your tank! How do you come out and pick that one as the nicest coral? Thats like me picking out the best looking angel out of victoria secret! Lol

Gasman did you dip it?
They are very tricky to keep alive I've had some do great for 6-7 months
And rtn over night
The ones pictured did best for me under t5s in a shallow tank instead of halides
With massive amounts of flow smallest colonies always did best
When my wife gets back from nc with my laptop I'll post some
Sick pics of my trails

gasman059 04/29/2012 06:11 PM

abslutely always do- had it for 3-4 months and then viola!
It happens

Lol, You are right, I guess after a while you get use to your corals, there is nothing like a new coral to get back my attention as to how beautiful these animals are.

Rogger Castells 04/29/2012 07:43 PM

this particular piece did not come from Fiji, this one is from Aussie 100%

Daimyo68 04/29/2012 10:34 PM

Beautiful!

canesfan44 04/30/2012 07:28 PM

reminds me of a valida, but because it seems to have more of a tabling growth pattern than bushy growth pattern, so I don't think it is.

Boboli 04/30/2012 07:30 PM

That would be one of the nicest I had too if you sold me a frag!
Nice big piece !

Biggar 05/01/2012 07:13 AM

Nice Coral Rogger. Wish my purple corals were not fading as much, working on figuring it out.

Is this a similar piece, just much smaller? Picked it up at PBMAS Swap

Siptang 05/01/2012 10:20 AM

You know Mike, I have similar issue as you. I have a purple acro (forgot the name) but it's slightly faded... I have to figure out what is the issue...

Awesome coral btw... I want it lol.

Hi Mike, that is not the same coral but it is certainly a nice find, as far as the Purple color of the corals, I always thought that iodine helped but I can't confirm that as I do not dose consistently but have no problems keeping the color purple intense.

ErnestoC 05/01/2012 11:37 PM

Hi Rogger, where did you get your coral? It would be great to get some like that!
